Bio for 50th high school reunion booklet

Daughter Jessica wrote 4/14/07 to New Canaan High School (NCHS) reunion organizer Marguerite Kelly Comerford:

Dad was glad to hear from you. I'm afraid his health won't allow travel to the reunion. He'd be glad, however, to receive photos, a copy of the booklet, cards, etc. at the mailing address below.

Dad's health is such that he can't write or type his own letters or talk easily on the phone, but he does enjoy connecting with people--it just means involving an intermediary, such as me or my sister or our mom, his ex-wife. We're happy to do it.

By way of updating the class of '57, here's a version of the alumni note Dad submitted to Harvard last year. I've updated several points and added a little detail about the other Bucciarellis, who I believe are NCHS grads as well.

--------------
After twenty years living in a downtown Portland apartment, I moved in 2005 to a skilled nursing facility.

I remember well and fondly my teaching days in Greenwich, Conn., and Portland, Ore. I also have many good memories of the 13 winter trips I made to Hawaii, where I would spend a month with my mother.

Today I enjoy visits with family and friends who come to see me. Most of my four siblings have visited Portland recently. Bob is serving as a monsignor in Ireland. Larry recently retired from teaching at Mass. Institute of Technology. Joan relocated last year to Washington State, where she works for a planning/consulting firm. Diane, a teacher, splits her time between Connecticut and Florida.

My daughter Jessica moved from Los Angeles to Portland in 2005 and it is a joy to have her nearby. Daughter Gracie lives near San Francisco and we keep in close touch.

I would be happy to hear from classmates. You can write me at 5701 SW Multnomah Blvd., Portland, OR, 97219, or email me in care of Jessica: buccije earlham edu.
